What makes a jiu jitsu gi a competition gi is a common question for The Jiu Jitsu Shop. The short answer is, a gi that makes you feel good and is competition legal. Most of our requirements for putting a gi into the competition gi category is that it is relatively light (between 3-5 lbs for an A2) and that it comforms to the IBJJF uniform regulations. Although The Jiu Jitsu Shop has a good amount of gis most of the staff's favorite gis fall into the "competition gi" category.
